FLOODED

Right now were staying at Amy’s place in southern Sumatra, we’ll be here for at least a month. Recently we have been experiencing huge amounts of rainfall and thunderstorms in the afternoons and at night. Last night the rainfall exceeded any amount we’ve seen so far during our trip to Indo. When we woke up people told us about roads that had collapsed and houses that had been flooded with water. We decided to go on a bike ride and have a look. The impact we witnessed was far greater than we expected. One particular thing we saw that made us happy was people helping each other while still having a smile on their face, despite their homes and everything they own being soaked.
